No-exam life insurance

Who gets approved for fast-track underwriting, how the process unfolds, and what happens if you don't qualify.

These days, many carriers provide accelerated underwriting: for applicants fitting their age and coverage limits, decisions come from the application itself, your medicine list, driving record, and other data—bypassing a medical exam. Some approvals happen within hours. Every quote listed here shows whether an exam is required, possibly needed, or not needed for each product.

What it changes

There's still underwriting even without a medical exam. Your statements get verified, and a policy issued based on false information can be challenged within the first twenty-four months. The carrier may request an exam or lab tests if questions arise during review; you get to choose whether to proceed.

Who tends to qualify

Most applicants meet the criteria if they're under around 60, requesting amounts within the carrier's accelerated approval limit, without serious health issues, and haven't used tobacco within the past year or longer. Certain carriers will accept results from a doctor visit with bloodwork instead of scheduling a new exam.

When an exam is required, count on a 20- to 30-minute appointment in your home or workplace in the San Jacinto area, arranged and paid for by the carrier. Strong health results often lead to better rates, so don't worry—an exam might actually help your quote.
