Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote tool only asks for gender, date of birth, your general health status, tobacco use, coverage amount, and term length. These six pieces of information are sufficient to generate carrier rates. Your name, address, and detailed health information are only requested if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The prices you see are what each carrier quotes for the health class you selected. Your actual premium is finalized by the carrier's underwriting process, which may confirm, improve, or adjust your class. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer of insurance or a guaranteed price.
What happens when I click Apply?
You'll provide your name, and your application gets created based on the exact quote you selected, then transitions to the carriers' secure application platform. You can pause and resume your application at any time, and you'll sign your name electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), manages your application.
Will I need a medical exam?
That varies by carrier, the coverage amount, and your health details. Carriers offering immediate decisions can approve eligible applicants on the spot; each quote shows whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required.
Is a longer term better?
A term should cover the duration for which your family would face financial hardship without your income: paying a mortgage, supporting children, or servicing business debt. Longer terms mean higher monthly payments but fixed rates throughout the period. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years to find what works for you.
